Last night while digging the grass away from the asparagus plants, I saw a gorgeous blue bird. Since the grass has been left to abandon & the field of trees is now a field of wild flowers & grass. Swaying on the tallest of the grasses are songbirds returning to the field.
This picture isn't my own. I got it directly from Wikipedia. It's a beautiful Indigo Bunting. So shockingly beautiful I was wishing I had my camera on hand....but sadly I didn't. I have never seen this bird in the wild before. I had only seen pictures thinking that it existed in the US only.
