Cottage visitor

We had a little visitor to our cottage firepit the other day!

Isn't that just the neatest little thing?! He was so tiny, only 3 inches long from nose to tail. He had little white eyes, and spots all down his back. It's the first time I've seen a salamander in our woods!

Our neighbour is wonderful and donated a screen door to our cottage. We can keep the door open now! Then, James was inspired and built a screen for our large 6 ft window.

Now we'll be able to have lots of windows open at night to help keep the cottage cool. We're so excited! Actually, I almost forgot. James and Dad built a fantastic sink a few weeks back:

Not to mention, they also relocated the propane tank for our stove to the outside of the cottage. It's slowly coming along!
